Artist Statement

I manipulate materials that I associate with myself, my personal experiences and observations.  I create forms by manipulating the materials to both enhance and deny their obvious character.  The often decaying visuals create organic portals of knowledge and show the beauty of impermanence. By working through these ideas sculpturally, I gain a greater ability to digest my own emotional responses.
